NIBP Simulator
A handheld noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) simulator
can be used for fast and accurate testing of NIBP monitors.
The lightweight battery-powered BP-Sim uses patented
technology to simulate
a wide range of blood
pressures to verify the
accuracy and safe operation of NIBP monitors.
It has Bluetooth-enabled
technology that enables
wireless connectivity of
the tester with PCs and
other accessory equipment for fast downloading of performance data
and uploading of manufacturers’ O-curves and
manufacturer-specific
test programs. Also in-
cluded is a built-in pump that generates user-specific pressure settings for comprehensive system leak tests and over-pressure tests. Rigel Medical, Tampa, FL, 813/886-2775.

Mix and Dispense Valves
Dynamic mix and dispense valves are designed for precise
mixing and dispensing two-component materials in medical dispensing applications. The 2151-482-series Servo-Mix
valves offer a unique
mixer design that incorporates two features.
The first is a standard
disposable static mixer
element, which is attached to the drive shaft
of a variable-speed servomotor for low- to
high-speed mixing. The
second design feature
uses two of the company’s standard fluid-control valves to start
and stop the flow of part A and part B materials into the
dispense valve. The valves have carbide ball needles and
seats for long service life with abrasive materials. Sealant
