Workholding System
Designed for 8-in. vises, a workholding system is capable of holding five or
eight parts in a single clamping. The
Hydramax workholding system replaces standard jaw plates with a jaw setup
in models with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, or 12
pistons. The system features a common channel that equalizes pressure
against all of the individual pistons, so
equal pressure is applied to all parts.
The system’s aluminum jaw allows for
quick pocket machining. Once parts
are loaded, one stroke of the vise handle provides independent clamping of
each piston. The system uses hydraulic
pressure for clamping, although there
are no hydraulic connections to make.
